Bacchus & Co. reviews
20Good casual french food and price but waiters are extremely undertrained. Had to look and write down word by word for each order, not able to speak English nor Thai
Wine is pricey there, a $10 bottle in the western store (USA, less in Europe) costs $40+ here. Food was good, portions small for the price, I think the “Scottish Salmon” was farmed salmon and not wild caught (the color makes me suspect this) - for the size and price should have been wild caught. My lady got the veal stew, had only 4 pieces of veal in it for 690 baht. Fairly regular atmosphere, didn’t feel special. Owner is nice and present. Missing details like Himalayan pink salt, and the food definitely needed salt. Balsamic vinaigrette dressing was quite good.

Bacchus & Co.is our little comforting islet « à la française ». We know this place since 2017 and it quickly became one of our most favorite restaurant in all Bangkok.
Whether it is for drinking (they have a very large choice of excellent wines but those who prefer beer can also enjoy a cold pinte) or for having lunch/dinner, we have never been disappointed.
Luc and Khun Khai (Bacchus’ owners) are the most adorable people in Soi 16 and very professional as well. Bacchus’ staff is their reflect, they are very welcoming, smiling and they can all speak English.
Our personal recommendation: Try the oysters or the moules marinières. It is just divine to eat that at the end of the day when twilight slowly falls on Soi 16…
Very cozy French restaurant and good food, one of my favorite dish there is carbonara staffs are very nice and I’ll probably go there again?
I am not a regular (not living in Bangkok) but if I was, Bacchus would be my "cantine".
Great and cosy atmosphere, warm welcome by the staff.
Good food and good "ratio" food-prices.
Will be back again when coming to BKK.
Thanks
All the items I had were delicious. The creme brulee was my favourite with a crispy sugar crust with a firm creamy custard texture. I will be back again whenever I am in Bangkok.
Had some lovely dinners here. Service is excellent and the food is great. Can recommend the pate, the baked carembert and the rillettes.
Bacchus is one of my favorite French cuisine restaurant in Bangkok. Everything is perfectly cooked, Nice atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Amazing staffs. Definitely a place to go.
Excellent ambiance and food. The liver pate ie light and yummy. The pork fillets also delicious. I had the blanquette de opulent which was light and delicious. My partner had the magnet de canard which was tasty. The green beans were a great side. The mashed potatoes very good. We had 2 excellent cheeses and 2 very good glasses of Merlot. The apple tart at the end with whipped cream was a standout. Staff were lovely and helpful and owner so pleasant.
Great food and excellent service. Went there twice in 2 days (that’s as much we liked it!)
Highly recommend!
Always a great experience at Bacchus.
I have been there with my team a few times for lunch time, service is extremely fast for business workers.
The owner is attentive to details, food is good value for money.
5/5.
A cosy restaurant run by a French Thai couple, with authentic decor, beautiful food, a wide selection of wines, staff are attentative without being over en powering. The price is reasonable for the quality, my only critism, the lighting a little bright for a bistro, candles for romantic dinners are a must, especially when you serve the best oysters.
Fantastic selection of fine wines, delicious range of flavorful and beautiful small plates (that you can continue eating forever!) - and a wonderful, soulful team passionate about food and wine. Loved it!
Nice French bistro well located with nice staffs and good authentic French cuisine!
Lots of choice of wine as well
Great little restaurant with nice outside seating. Really recommend the tartare de boeuf with fries and salad.
This is my new local! Lovely service and very attentive.
I’m here around 9: 30 and a nice buzz about the place.
Lovely selection of food and especially wine.
Having a nicely priced and tasting spaghetti bol:)
Nice little French restaurant. Good food, friendly staff. The prices are ok. Will certainly come back often. You can speak French with the (probably) owner.
Nice ambience, a bit small but still big-group-friendly, good service, very good food and good price. Advanced reservation recommended.
Good food with a nice and quiet atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are fair. The beer selection could be more expansive, but the wine selection is nice.
As you enter the restaurant you are Greeted by the owner and escorted to your table. The choices on the menu are amazing, from the appetizers, to the main course and finally the delicious desserts!
The waiters and the rest of the staff are always on point, checking to make sure everything is ok and refilling your water etc.
In other words, we had the most amazing meal!
We had the French Onion Soup burger, and it was the most amazing burger that we ever had!
I highly recommend this restaurant for its service, the food and the atmosphere!
